Marshals

We are looking for some awesome people to help keep our event safe, tidy and running smoothly. You don't have to be connected with Scouts to help out, or be with us all day. Even an hour would be an amazing help. You'll be overseen by our Lead Marshal on the day, and given all the support you'll need.
We'll provide you with hi-vis, a small first aid kit, free water, snacks to keep your energy levels up and all the information you'll need to direct people to where they want to go.You'll be responsible for a section of the green during your allotted time, within which we need you to litter pick, provide information, direct people to the first aid area, child meeting point or event information area and remind people where to place their rubbish. We also need you to keep an eye on your area and alert the event management team to any suspicious packages/bags, suspected crime, underage drinking or suspected drugs use amongst other things.
To allow us to write up a rota to ensure we have enough cover throughout the event, please let us know when you'd be available to help and how long you can help for. The rota will be finalised one week before the event, where we'll meet up to give out information for the day and answer any questions you might have. We need cover from 11am - 3pm to assist with site set up, safe manoeuvring of vehicles and setting up the event. From 3pm - 10pm to ensure the event runs safely and smoothly. And from 10pm onwards for event pack down, manoeuvring vehices off site and a final litter pick.
Marshals need to be 18+ to assist with vehicle manoeuvring, but people aged 12 and over are more than welcome to assist with litter picking throughout the day, helping to sell raffle tickets and directing members of the public.
If you can help, please email us using the button below. HUGE thanks in advance!

Young volunteers

Many young people taking part in Scouts, Explorers and DofE need to do a certain amount of volunteering to earn their badges and/or awards. As this is a huge community event, any help you can give us will count towards whatever you are working for.You can either speak to your responsible adult or leader to find out what the requirements are, or get in contact with us and we’ll talk it through with you.
