Jamboree Stalls
Scout-run fundraising stalls
Scouts from all over the world are invited to attend the Jamboree which take place every 4 years. Its a fabulous opportunity for young people to travel, make friendships with people from different cultures, and take part in a safe, inclusive and sustainable programme.
Hundreds of thousands apply to attend the Jamboree but only a lucky few are chosen. For those fortunate enough to secure an invite they are required to pay for their travel, accommodation, kit and training expenses.
Every Scout is responsible for their own fundraising to pay for their trip. Scouts living in the UK pay a higher amount for their trip than other countries across the World to ensure that Scouts from less wealthy nations are still able to attend.
For those Scouts who were not selected, they have the option to attend Kandersteg in Switzerland instead.
Kandersteg was Lord Baden Powel’s dream - a permanent place where young people could gather 365 days a year with the feeling of a mini Jamboree.
Kandersteg opened in 1923, and celebrates its Centenary next year - when many of our young people will be attending. The format is similar to that of the World Scout Jamboree in that all young people must fundraise to pay the fees associated with the trip.

Lots of Young People have chosen to have a stall at our Jubilee Event to assist them in their fundraising efforts. This page will be updated in early April with a full list of everything that will be on offer. We really hope you choose to support them in their efforts.
